Ramblin' Man Fair June 30th- July 1st 2018, Mote Park Maidstone, UK
With a different time slot this year end of June/ beginning July instead of the usual end of July Ramblin' Man Fair was taking over for a weekend the beautiful Maidstone Park which is one of the largest in South East England with more than 450 acres of parkland and a 30- acre lake, great connections to London and perfect for close and far festival goers.
In its first three years Ramblin' Man Fair has already managed to host names like Scorpions, Dream Theater, Whitesnake, Black Stone Cherry, ZZ Top, Black Star Riders and plenty others. Festivals forth edition had Mott The Hoople and The Cult headlining the main stage.
A family friendly, well organised festival with a very relaxed atmosphere. A large parkland area with catering vans, market stalls, three stages and lots of space to chill. Definitely not a festival for going crazy- don't expect moshpits or streams of crowd surfers, nevertheless great atmosphere.
The only downside was the constantly clashing bands. There were quite few people around wanting to see two or even three artists playing at the same time, but since the Outlaw Country/ Blues stage was too far from the other two, they were missing out on seeing the band. That could be something to keep in mind for the future.
